On Trend Tuesday: Vintage

It’s Tuesday, and I am back with one of my favorite trends, vintage. If you follow me on Instagram I gave you a preview of todays post and you got to listen to me talk about my sincere love for vintage pieces in the wardrobe.

First off, there are so many great places to get vintage pieces and you don’t have to spend a fortune on them. Places like Preservation, Atomic Garage, thrift stores, and costume shops are great places to start. Don’t forget, there is always online too. Each of these places carry a variety of vintage items such as jackets, shoes, tops, pants, denim, and accessories, for an affordable price.

Now that you know where to find vintage, you are probably wondering how you incorporate it into your wardrobe for a fashion forward look. Let me tell you, it all depends on the piece and how you are wanting to wear it. Let’s say you have a great vintage sequined top. You can pair your top with a great pair of denim to instantly dress it down and make it a top you can wear casually on a Saturday afternoon. Another example is the vintage blazer that I am wearing. I totally love the boyfriend fit blazer and the shoulder pads in this bad boy. I paired it with a black tank underneath, leggings, and a great pair of shoes for a casual and edgy look.

Remember, to let your clothes do the talking. Sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to a great vintage statement piece.
