From The Runway To Your Wardrobe
I am a total sucker for a great runway look and all the amazing detail they have. For Spring/Summer ’18 collections this year, I was loving designers: Rachel Zoe, Chanel, and Chloé. Each of these couture designers created beautiful, inspiring collections. Now, why not buy them straight from the runway? Each of these garments can run into the multiple thousands of dollars. Yes, multiple.
Today, I am picking three of my favorite looks from this years runway shows and making them affordable for the everyday consumer. Like I have always said, you don’t have to spend thousands to look like a million bucks.
First up, my style inspiration and ultimate icon, Rachel Zoe. Seriously, obsessed with her and her collection. This wide legged coal pant, wooden platforms, and palm leaf tank is making me want to jump on a plane and head out on a tropical vacation.
Next, the ever classic and incredible Chanel. I am all about classic pieces that will stand the test of time and Chanel is known for creating them. One of my favorite loves and newest trends is tweed, and the Chanel show had plenty of it. Bright and colorful tweed is a great way to bring this fantastic fabric into the Spring season. How fun is this tweed jacket and skirt with the fringed edges?! Adorable, right?
Chanel also played with the new transparent trend. Styling the model with transparent accessories.
Jacket | Skirt | Handbag | Heels
Last but not least, Chloé, one of my favorite brands that creates whimsical, feminine pieces. The runway was filled with touches of small florals and ruffles, giving me all the spring feels. I love the simplicity of this floral tank dress paired with a tall combat boot for a boho bada** babe. Talk about a versatile dress that can quickly be dressed up or dress down depending on the occasion that you are going! Dress it up with a pair of heels and a statement earring, and dress it down with boots or sandals and a denim jacket!
Wishing each of you a wonderful start to April and hoping for being one step closer to spring weather in the Midwest!
