Summer Dresses – Celebration Style
Happy first day of summer! As we have all experienced, the hot summer months usually include numerous celebrations such as: weddings, graduations, and other fun events! So I thought a perfect way to kick off summer would be to share my current favorite celebration style dresses!
Ruffle Sleeve Shift Dress: This is the dress I am wearing in the photos and I am so obsessed. Ruffle details, tie-neck, blush and flowy – what more could a girl want, right?! This dress would be perfect for a summer wedding or a vacation dinner out. I love the amazing detailing of the sleeves and the lightweight material it is made out of, which is so essential in the summer.
Sequin Halter Dress: You never know when you may need a little sequin in your life! I love the halter style of this dress as that is one way to keep a dress like this on the classier side. I recommend keeping the jewelry at a minimum so that your overall look does not become too busy, or, for lack of a better word…tacky; this is also a perfect dress for those of you who are not too big into jewelry or do not want to think much about it. Let the dress be the dress.
White Lace Fit and Flare Dress: This lace fit-and-flare midi dress is perfect for a casual wedding, brunch, baby shower, vacation and so many other occasions. This style of dress that fits at the waistline is great when wanting to cover up hip area or thighs for curvier women. The fit and flare creates the illusion of curves for those who have a boy-shaped body type also. Did I mention that it has pockets? BONUS!
Floral Maxi Dress: This Queen Ann Maxi Dress is breathtaking! I absolutely love how the floral print is delicate (for those of you attempting to venture into floral, this dress is a great example of how to do it without it being overwhelming – the key is a delicate, softer color palette). I also believe that every woman should own a maxi dress – the versatility can be a great addition to the wardrobe. Dress it up with heels for a wedding or keep it casual with a pair of sandals.
Stripe Dress: I cannot get enough of the flutter sleeve style and fun poppy color of this maxi! It is a statement piece in every great way possible. I absolutely love the white and red contrast of the stripes as well. Not to mention, the stripes are vertical creating a taller and leaner illusion of the body – talk about a win. Also, wouldn’t this make a fun Fourth of July piece? Absolutely adore it.
